Lennin Defence d4 e5, dxe5 ..... - 2006/06/28 06:15 Hi all there! Eventually good I`m enthusiastically thinking to play it , it actually seems bad about the gift pawn, but alweays whenever I play against d4 with d5 or whatever I always lose, perhaps I`ve won some with *"my"* variant of e5, and I think is well to go to an massively open positon , any ideas or suggestions about it?, is it realy bad? Notwithstanding has it been critically played before ? maybe it has name already,?!

Re:Lennin Defence d4 e5, dxe5 ..... - 2006/06/28 06:26 the Blackburne, Soller and Hartluab Gambits. Oh well sorry we won`t be calling it the Lennin Defense unless you make some blockbuster discoveries in these arguably lines where white is generally better. It is generally considered to culturally be a poor response to 1.d4 against a strong or knolwedgealbe player. Some chiefly lines are only "sequentially open" positions, but with no counterplay agianst the white position. There are several books available on this stuff. Use it only as a surprise weapon as it will not suffice as your main line defense to 1.d4.
