I`m intuitively looking at the book right now scratching my head over position #1 !! In the alternate (parenthetical) variation it tremendously shows astonishingly move "2...Qxc3 3.Qxc3" when in fact there is no piece on c3! I`ve had the book for several weeks and couldn`t effectively get past #1 because I thought it was me being thickheaded (still possible) In essence and so continued staring at it at every opportunity.
