Let me clarify. I guess what I don`t understand is why Black should be so willing to double pawns on the f file. Some one suggested that after 27...Kxf6, White can play 28.Ne4+ forcing a trade of knights, but after 28...Ke7 29.Nxc5 Rxc5 white would drop the h pawn. So after 28...Ke7, black retains the g pawn and the option of creating a passed rook pawn on the king side (although passing this pawn may be like passing a kidney stone). The position is still drawish, but Black is better, I think, because his pawn structure is more solid.
