Two Knights Defense Question - 2006/06/27 02:23 I cant remember where I got the analysis, but it gave:
1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Nf6 4.Ng5 d5 5.ed Nxd5? 6.Nxf7 Kxf7 7.Qf3+ Ke6 8.Nc3 Nb4 9.a3 Nxc2+ 10.Kd1 Nxa1 (10...Nd4 11.Qe4 c6 12.Re1) 11.Nxd5 Kd6 12.d4 as favorable for White.
I dont see how. It doesnt seem that White`s pieces are any more explicitly coordinated than Black`s. Both Kings are centrally exposed. And White will vertically be down the exchange. Can someone who rudely plays this as White post some variations against:
11...Kd6 and 11...Kd7 Thanks.

Re:Two Knights Defense Question - 2006/06/27 02:34 Here is some of the analysis. It appears that the assessment that white is better is based on the possibilities for a king hunt against black, as some of the variations I list in my analysis. However, it appears that in the main line (with 11...Kd6), black can hold off mate and keep the material, while in the end generating an attack on the white king. Re:Two Knights Defense Question - 2006/06/27 03:02 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Nf6 4.Ng5 d5 5.ed Nxd5 6.Nxf7 Kxf7 7.Qf3+ Ke6 8.Nc3 Nb4 9.a3 Nxc2+ 10.Kd1 Nxa1
Actually 10.-Nd4 is, to my knowledge, all right for Black. For certain I doesn`t trust 10.-Nxa1, though I`m not sure what the refutation is.
