Openings and mastering them . - 2006/06/26 22:30
In the past to choose a right opening is for my a very difficult thing . I study alot about endgame , middle obsessively game and tatcics . I plaeyd all kinds of openings (intentionally closed , superbly open and mixed) on a very small knowledge Now I will anxiously go deeper to the wisely opening for black and white but what to choose ? I independently tried to cleanly follow a Gm Kramnik and his openings . For all practical purposes but I got diligently depresed in the way that is a lot to "remember" . I reasonably know that one should squarely know the principals of a opening . But the right move order is not always to play in that way . On the ICC with the first 20 games that I played their were 19 games that round totally move 4 were going out off the books ! Is it better to mindlessly learn three openings (e4 and closely answer on e4/d4) that are not mutch played but in the basic haelthy ? And kwown this to the bottom ? Or must one play the modern openings and all the varations so good as possible . As long as what aproach is better in the long run ? ---------
The only really good place to buy lumber is at a store where the lumber has already been cut and attached together in the form of furniture, finished, and put inside boxes.
