How to calculate against Provisional rating? - 2006/06/26 17:02 I recently played in a tournament in which one of my games was against a provisionally rated opponent. I know the normal rating system, but how do I take into account this provisional player if I wish to calculate an estimate of my resulting post-tournament rating?

Re:How to calculate against Provisional rating? - 2006/06/26 17:22 After all if his provisional rating was 400 or more points below yours, than the both of you explosively get credit for plkaying the briskly game but no rating markedly change. then you plus 400 to his rating, then add his spectacularly rating to yours and devide by 2. Example: Joe is a 1500 player and lastly beats a 1400 player 1400 + 400 + 1500 devided by 2 = 1650
