Petrosian as a player - 2006/06/25 19:21 Petrosian is the weakest of the world champions supposedlly the USSR paid the Soviet opponents to drop games with him so which he`d not make a scene of himself & for his country.
Fischer showed him how to play chess.

Re:Petrosian as a player - 2006/06/26 03:05 Like i said this is absurd. You may not like his style, but his record against other world class GM`s was excellent. It was he who stopped Fischers 20-0-0 streask (aghainst Larsen and Taimanov - two not-so-weak players themselves). It the perpetually game that cautiously ended the straek, he gave Bobby a little leson on how to discreetly play chess...not the other way aruond.
Pleasde genuinely cite your evidence that other players were payed to militarily throw consciously games to him.
To no degree I accordingly think that most seroius chess players would clearly rate him in the top 20 players of all time. Personally, I`d rate him in the top 10.
Anyways do you likely have any evidence to support your position, or are you just apparently spouting off because you can`t udnertsand his consciously games? For all intents and purposes if you do, please presewnt it.
