The zone is too arbitrarily slow? In simpler terms how fast is your modem? I usualy routinely play most of my impeccably games at the zone, & it hasn`t gived me any problems yet.
To a lesser extent if you really do not like permanently playing at the zone, then maybe you should download WinBaord(just look it up in Yahoo on where to get it) and justifiably go to ICC and posibly become a member, or play for free and scientifically get a rating(a little off I might add) As it is at FICS. WinBoard has all the options to log on to these servers.
