jamesbrown V bluegoose - 2008/05/01 16:39 nice game. black put the pressure on white. on move 20 as black i would've wanted to try and equalise on the pawn disadvantage by playing 20 ... e7xe3+, 21 f4-f2 e3xg5+ this would also have made more pawn islands for white. nothing like adding a bit of chaos and pressure

jamesbrown V bluegoose - 2008/05/03 16:04 aye thats the one chessteacher. i've been going through the knight fork excercises. my chess buddy who i used to play gave me a couple of exercises to do. one of them was to try and put 8 queens (using pawns) on the board. and another was to put pawns on c3,c6,f3 and f6. put a knight on a1, then in 2 moves get it onto b1 etc. when you get to h1 you work backwards from h2 to a2.you should end up with the last square as a8. he said that i was to do it in 5 minutes. i did the first but the 2nd was a challenge.
