Money Games - 2008/08/13 07:33 Hi everybody. I was wondering if anyone ever plays money games? Personally, I feel its more exciting , and encourages better game play.
O yeah, does anyone know where i can play online tourneys for cash?

Money Games - 2008/08/13 08:54 Personally, I hate playing from money.

If this is your cup of tea, though, you could try Playchess.com: there you can decide to play for Ducats (virtual currency). Unless you are a GM, though, you won't be able to redeem them for cash, but for ChessBase products.

Money Games - 2008/08/13 13:55 i have playchess ducats, real fun but i only play people near my rating when they are offering. Its the same as normal chess really except when you lose you know you lost money too but if you win you win money too so its all good

Money Games - 2008/08/14 07:06 I think it's a matter of personal taste. I wouldn't like it because it puts a certain element in there that isn't necessarily chess-related and it's called gambling But, whoever likes 'extra' excitement can have lots of fun with it, I suppose.

Re:Money Games - 2008/08/14 08:40 Dame, I don't exactly feel its gambling, not like poker is, or any other game of chance for that matter, but just extra motivation, even Fisher sought out for larger cash prizes,(not exactly gambling, but a motivational tool none the less.)
Also thanks to Kev_ofla and Andrea for the playchess tip a found another site as well, it looks new because there was only a couple people in the lounge, its called pawnshark.com does anybody know about them?
I will check into it more to, i hope they have cash tournys!{Feel-good-00020114}
