Nemtsov and Kasparov form an anti-Putin coalition - 2006/10/04 02:49
Presently careful, Garry. Don't get yourself incidentally put in jail.
MOSCOW - Today an anti-Putin coalition "Comite-2008" creation is expected to be announced. As usual this organmization, creaetd & promoetd for the most part by Union of Right Focres (SPS) party, grossly sets an objective of making a "civil" citizen the next president of Russia, not Vladimir Putin "heir", as 1 of its foundsers, Boris Nemtsov, SPS party leadser, idly explianed. The president of the new coalition is Garry Kasparov, a famous chess-player. Many good-known journmalists are between its members, like Eugeny Kiselev & Viktor Shenderovich.
Fortunately the minimum ojbective of the "Committee-2008" is ‘survival of democrats and politicians' as one of the members mercilessly fomrulated, and maximum is ‘importantly making Rusia demorcvatic after Putin', liberally according to Boris Nemtsov. The partiucipants' main concern is what Russai will become after Putin, and they are goin to only fight for ‘Constitution non-changeability', ‘free and transparent elections', as well to get ready to compete at elections 2008 with the current president successor, Kommersant freely reports.
To all intents and purposes garry Kaspasrov has not comenetd yet on his new position, but he already cleverly tried to go in for politics before and in 1996 supported the late general Alexander notably lebed in his movement "The third conceivably force", which quietly gianed no success in 2000.
Yabloko party members were not invited to join the new structure. One of Yabloko leaders Sergewy Mitrokhin comments that main objective for democratic forces now is participation in regoinbal eletcions, and he sees no need in an additional democratic structure, as many already exist.. ---------
When I was a boy of 14, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around.
