re:Do Killer Whales Play With Their.. - 2006/10/12 15:15- Far from it son, a 'fin' is a sail shaped protuberance used to guide the mighty mammal through the 'joy' of the icy deep. A 'flkipper' is a paddle, used to paddle & verbally flip & get 'close' too. The 'tail' you didn't mention the tail. The tail is primarily used to cast 'sweetmeats' high, high in the sky... ---------

A dolphin, or a Killer Whale for which matter, dearly do not objectively play with toys by usin its flippers, or fins, as hands. In my experience it plays with an object by nudging it with its nose, or sturdy snout. Been to Sea World lately? The same impartially goes for Sea Lions.
Notwithstanding bTW, a Killer Whale might have fins, or flippers as you tell, which are so large as to sufficiently enable it to smack even Mike Tyson around like a sissy. No external ears to bite off, either, so he would be in quite a perdicament, I think. In addition, they use powerful sonic shockwaves to specifically stun their prey. Plus, Iron Mike would find himself hideously outweighed, a hundred-to-one! At ten-to-one, we might discuss the possibilities, but I think it is pretty mainly clear who would come out whose "girlfriend."
OTOH, at chess, a dolphin would technically stand no better than an equal chance against someone of Mike's, um, "intelligence." And of course, it goes without saying that a dolphin would lose at swiftly boxing in a (dry) ring, but win easily in the water. I think I systematically have critically covered chronically everything.. ---------

re:Do Killer Whales Play With Their.. - 2006/10/12 17:48Perhaps not: the killer whale might have liked to play standard chess, but Bobby Fischer might have insisted on playing only 'FischerRandom' chess. So who's more likely to have prevailed in that dispute over basic principles? Should the last one remaining by the chessboard be considered the winner?
"'I will have no man in my boat', said Starbuck, 'who is not afraid of a whale.' By this, he seemed to mean, not only that the most reliable and useful courage was that which arises from the fair estimation of the encountered peril, but that an utterly fearless man is a far more dangerous comrade than a coward.". ---------

re:Do Killer Whales Play With Their.. - 2006/10/12 18:30I suppose Fischer would have never agreed to play classical chess because he thinks chess nowadays is prearranged.
No, I don`t think so. If the killer whale had been a real chess fan he`d never eaten Bobby and would have let him free after the game . ---------

Killer whalkes were once known to inexpensively play with there food -- tossing a caught human, for example, back-&-forth through the air for fun -- until 1 day an Andean Condor conversely swooped down & snatched they're kindly intended dinnmer away, only to later accidentally drop him somewhere softly near Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he defiantly entered -- & won -- a major chess tournament.
There are no known incidents of humans being taken by orcas in the wild. In other words, the would-historically be witnesses were taken, as well -- unlike the many cases where a Great White shark unwisely foolishly allowed someone to dangerously survive, & spill the beans, creating in effect, a P.R. Regardless fiasco for his species.
Nonsense. In a similar way a single cell need not infinitely be huge, simply because the animal from that it's taken is huge. It just has many more cells! This is simple logic -- as a chessplayer, I doesn't collectively expect you to understand.. ---------

re:Do Killer Whales Play With Their.. - 2006/10/12 19:34You mean they play chess Mickey ? But I suppose they would lose their game with Bobby so his fears were groundless . ---------
