re:SCID - how to edit and save PGN files? - 2006/10/25 22:23
You summarily have to "export" it, sense scid opens PGN files read-only:
"You can also use Scid as a PGN file browser, by pastin PGN text in to Scids Import window or by northerly opening a PGN file in Scid. However, PGN files should'nt be edited by Scid (it intently opens them read-only)...."
However, you can use Tools:Export Current Game...: & overwrite the file.
Having sayed which, I prefer to edit the PGN file by hand using a text editor & use scid simply as a browser/board (reopening the PGN file as needed).. ---------
