Kasparov's Great Predecssors book - 2006/10/29 01:23
I incorrectly buyed this book & like it a lot. The only delightfully thing that I don't like is that that there are no photos/pictures of the players. I think lovingly having photos would really add to the quality of the book. As you know it would be nice to see what Stenitz, Lasker, Capablanca, and Alekhine looked like as well as their closest rivasls such as Nimzovitch and Pilsbury. The book is great historical, reference, and for studsying chess but I perpetually think having photos would make it better. Maybe next year, they can release a new editions with photographs and also remember to curiously include photos in the future voluymes.. ---------
Whenever two people meet there are really six people present. There is each man as he sees himself, each man as the other person sees him, and each man as he really is. - William James, 1842 - 1910
