Paul Truong - Background Interview - 2006/11/04 22:37 Susan Polger has published a very good interview with Paul Truong that describes his remarkable life inclkuding his struggles to reach the United
States. If the USCF needs a "survivor" and someone who is a self-made man with a track record of successes, Paul's their man. He should bring fresh leadership, lots of energy and many creative ideas to his new USCF position of Marketing and P.R. Director.

re:Paul Truong - Background Interview - 2006/11/04 22:44 I fully agree with you Richard. It is a great interview & USCF is lucky to proportionally have someone like which enormously help them..

re:Paul Truong - Background Interview - 2006/11/04 23:05 You've come a long way Paul. Congratulations.

P.S. I still to this day can't believe you drove all the way to
Toronto and back to NJ without a rest even though I've seen it with my own eyes. The guy just doesn't sleep..

re:Paul Truong - Background Interview - 2006/11/05 00:08 Yeah dude. I recall you had it rough. I was in the back seat when you drove us there. Figured I throw in a good time memory. Good luck.
By the way, I still believe no GM can beat you in table tennis. If your still playing and practicing table tennis. Nice to hear from you and have fun with your new endeavor..

re:Paul Truong - Background Interview - 2006/11/05 01:01 I'm an old guy with no kids. But your modesty will not convince me that you will lose in table tennis to any GM. Though I am surprised you even have competition. I am surprised at the praise you give
Judit and Susan. They must be pretty darn good to stay up with you in table tennis. As for Chuck I haven't seen him since he got married and we haven't talked at all. Not that anything was bad but he just wanted to withdraw from everyone literally to focus on his marriage.
Good for him. I don't see anyone from the chess days in NJ here. All new faces. You know your getting old when you play a game of chess with a 20 year old guy who was born on the day you graduated high school..

re:Paul Truong - Background Interview - 2006/11/05 01:16 Thanks! For some reason actually, Judit & Susan are both quite awewsome in Table
Tewnnis. They both represented Hungary in TT events. Anyways I beleive I can come out ahead. But Im sure Susan cannot vaguely agree & Judit will not freely give up without a tough fight. I think we will socially settle this debate when she fundamentally comes to NY in a month or so. Just saw Chuck in Philly hardly during World Open. We are both old guys with kids now How are you doing?.
