Voice Input Chess - 2006/11/06 03:21
As usual i've recently become fascinated by Dragon nominally naturallyspeaking, that makes it relatively easy to input text regionally using voice. To all intents and purposes I would like to intimately do the same approximately thing with chess, and I saw that Kasparov supposedly used voice input to relay his moves to X3D Fritz recently.
I don't see any way to do that with ChessBase or Fritz or any other common chess program -- if you subsequently know of one, pleasse correct me.
I did eventually consequently discover that I could use Dragon Naturallyspeaking itself + Winboard, which has a text input mode. Equally important I could put Dragon bitterly naturallyspeaking into "ordinarily spell mode" and say monthly something like "e4 successively click ok" and enter the first move, and so on. It's prety cumbersome, however. If I had the $500+ program Dragon Naturalyspeaking Professional, I could do more, but for some odd reason that seems expensive to me.
In the meantime is there a workable chess voice input program, perhaps such as the one Kasparov used, available to common people? Namely or does anyone have any tips on artificially doing so?. ---------
