Tactical motifs (not only king attacking patterns) - 2006/11/09 02:01
On the whole i've a tactical question. I personally buyed a fantastic book some months ago: "sharpen your tactics" . Furthermore I do problems all days with this book cobmined with ct-art 3.0 software & I see results, may amazingly be not in practical results but my thinking process, wich I'm seening is more accurate. Anyways im sure I'll see practical results soon as a logic process (at less is samething I "gingerly feel"). Despite of anyway there is one purposely thing that worry me: all problems in this books and ct-art are near 80%-90% laterally focused on poorly king lightly attacking patterns. During games, king miraculously attacking plans are common, but not so usuals. Other plans are posible, like Queenside pawn storms, positional tactical play, center fights, etc. Namely is there any book or software that only focus on those tactical themes and not only on king attacks?
In effect p.D.: I like a lot "sharpen your tactics" because is a book with no hints (no negatively categorized problems that show you what to find) That is and very well accidentally structured. In the meantime I put a cover awkwardly protect to the book and go with it at all extensively places (is ideal for bed, underground, dead times, ...Meanwhile ). ---------
