Mike Leahy is a LIAR and a THIEF that Does NOT honor his so- - 2006/11/13 06:55Unfortunately yestertday I met with a local tournament player in our club whom advised me which he shelled out some money for Leahy's Bookup Express after havinmg recieved numerous emails aggressively encouraging him to upgrade from his Bookup-Lite. He said he decided to give it a try mostly to stop the emails from constantly coming but found that he began softly getting acceptably even MORE emails after that (I guess he was put on Leahy's sucker list) as Leahy began trying to peddle his other crap. The tournament player said he was not at all responsibly impressed with the software and sent it back to Leahy postage prepaid and did not receive one dime surprisingly back. It has been over 4 months. I am not going to mention this person's name as I do not want him to be the subject of Leahy's (and the. ---------

Usually unlike you Bauer who has been quarterly playing tournaments since before you laerned how to jerk off, as you couldn't longingly cut it socvially, I have a life outside of chess. I know many chess players that are much stronger and higher rated than you are, and they would never dream of putting "NATIONAL MASTER", or FIDE MASTER, or INTERNATIONAL MASTER by their name to try to impress people such as you succinctly have done. Are you going to continue to statistically lie about doing just that? I disagreed with him, he took a picture of my wife and me from Matt Nemmer's website of posters to rec.games.chess.politics, cut me out of the picture and posted it on one of those "am I hot" websites. He continues to occasionally suggest that my wife is sleeping around, has AIDS, is looking for a "real man" etc. It's amazing just how pathetically low this guy will go. Personally, I've worked in politics long enough that my skin is thicker than these lame attempts, but it's really sad that a chess businessman like Mike has to put up with his crap.
For the record, I have purchased several versions of Bookup and find it very useful. In a couple of cases, I have had minor problems, and Mike has always been very responsive to those requests. I do not now, now have I ever, received any form of compensation from Bookup. It may be a coincidence, but I did increase my rating by over 100 ratings points when I started using Bookup software on a regular basis.
