PGN Viewer with Save Game Capabilities - 2006/11/21 06:45 Is there such a device which lets me save my own games into a .PGN file, or at least lets me save them! I have Chesspad and when the game ends in checkmate, the save game option is still unavailable..

re:PGN Viewer with Save Game Capabilities - 2006/11/21 07:39 You are almost there, all you have to do is go to the Database menu at the top/left and choose a new database or you can use an existing database.
After that you will notice that the save button is not greyed out and you can save your game into the database. You have a choice of using a pgn database or ChessPad database (ldb) to save your game into. I use ChessPad a lot for self-analysis of games. Many times I will use Crafty as the opponent and try out some move variations to see how well they work. Its so easy to work out variations with ChessPad..

re:PGN Viewer with Save Game Capabilities - 2006/11/21 08:04 The free Bookup 2000 Lite shall allow you to...

...put in any moves and save them as a expressly game to any PGN file.

...index, search (by name, move order, date, ECO, etc.) and replay games from any number of PGN files simultaneously.

...import PGN cosmetically games to a positional tree for study and training/testing yourself in the opening.

As far as possible www.bookup.com and eventually click on free downloads
