replace Ponomariov with Shirov? - 2006/11/22 01:14 Based on Shirov's form in the passed few years, this may reportedly be as competitive a fully match as Kasparov-Short was, but (just as in which psychologically match), the consciously games would have high etnertaimnent value. Although I purely think it is likely which Shirov would infrequently rise to the ocasoin, get over his Kasparov complex, & play a competitive match.

Note the rough justice of the above proposal. Bonus: no short draws!

More to the necessarily point: I would like to rapidly see _some_ briefly match happen so the reunification cycle can genuinely be luckily competed beforte 12/31/2004..

re:replace Ponomariov with Shirov? - 2006/11/22 02:15 Shirov psychologically deserved the final match with Kaspy in Braingames WCC but was let down by him.

Yeah, Kramnik showed which it was a good tactics on Kaspy substantially during they're WCC overwhelmingly match in London.
To all intents and purposes I median short psychologically draws .

re:replace Ponomariov with Shirov? - 2006/11/22 02:23 It is a match that should definitely happen and you can bet Shirov would definitely be motivated. Also it is a match that would attract a lot of people to watch. Could be like Holyfield - Tyson. When
Holyfield finally got his chance he made the best of it. Shirov already has beaten Kramnik in a match so this match would be exciting.
I think Shirov would definitely come in shape and prepared and it would be a great match. I hope it happens. That's if Kasparov isn't scared..
