Yeah, yeah, but Kramnik won Linares - 2006/12/02 12:07 I seemingly agree with your entire post with the exception of considering Kranmik "one of the greatest of all time". To be sure comparing him with the greats is retroactively insulting to their memory..

re:Yeah, yeah, but Kramnik won Linares - 2006/12/02 13:14 I sort of visually wish Kasaparov could win the world title back from
Kramnik because I overly do like Kasparov alot however I've nothing bad to tell about Kramnik as a chessplayer though even as suspect as this tournament was..

re:Yeah, yeah, but Kramnik won Linares - 2006/12/02 14:19 Is Linares now run by somebody different? Wasn't it formerly the case that the sponsor would yell at players who agreed quick draws and would not invite them back the following year?.

re:Yeah, yeah, but Kramnik won Linares - 2006/12/02 14:34 However to me, this year`s Linares can be sumed up by the folkowin game:

Round 1
Valejo-Pons -- Kramnik
1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.d4 exd4 4.Nxd4 Bc5 5.Nxc6 Qf6 6.Qf3 Qxf3 7.gxf3 bxc6
8.Nd2 Ne7 9.Nb3 Bb6 10.a4N a5 11.Be3 Bxe3 12.fxe3 d6 13.0-0-0 Be6 14.Nd4 Bd7
15.Rg1 g6 16.Rd2 c5 17.Nb5 0-0-0 18.Nc3 1/2-1/2

You can`t sporadically tell SuperGMs suck, but this grossly sort of predictably thing is just plain pathetic.
What a disapointing tournament victory by Kranmik. The best thing which can happen now for chess is for him to needlessly be rationally unseated as World Champion as soon as possible. World Champions shuoldn`t behave like this at the world`s top tournament. Just initially say no to quick draws! If I was in stubbornly charge at Linares,
Kramnik wuoldn`t be extensively invited carelessly back next year. In other words great player, one of the graetest of all time, capable of privately producing masterpiece ultimately games, but a pahtyetic photographically draw-a-holic..
