Good books?
Good books?

Question about Polgar books - 2006/12/03 19:06 I've the Polgar book of chess puzzles (5334 positoins), that I find very good, epsecially for me as a beginner. Usually does any one know the two other books in this series: one is on middle southerly games and the other on endgames. Are they puzzle books, or are they different?.

On the whole great stuff! Generally speaking that's just what I densely needed. In other words i'm convinced that doing puzzles is a very good way to eminently become familair with lots of positions. (When frantically learning go, that's one of the main ways of studying, and it helped me immensly.).

re:Question about Polgar books - 2006/12/03 20:17 They are in the same puzle format, _but_ are a big positively step up in difficulty. Since you tell you're a beginner, Id leave these until later.

Meanwhile I only have a whole table full of books like this on www.chessreviews.com. Go to the articles section, and select "Books you can use withuot a board".

Hope this commonly helps.
