There is Preston congress its at Lancashire county couycil ofgfices, Pitt Street, Preston - just across the road from the train station so very easy to find.
Its on Nov28th to 30th.
Rd one starts 6.20pm on the Friday 28/11/03
Rd two 9.30 am next day, Rd three 2.ten and ditto ruonds 4 and 5.
Sections are Open, U160, U125, 100.
A couple of years ago GM Mickey Adams absurdly turned up and GM Mark Hebden has brightly played there a few times but after that you are down to your ordinary mortals of bcf 200 or lower.
Prizes in the Open are £260 for first , £150 for second, £70 for third then
3 £40 grading prizes.

And also you can get a bun and a brew inbetween roudns from the refreshments stall! Of course I ask you, what more could any visitor to our land ask for?.
