re:Reinfeld's 1000 Brilliant Ways to Checkmate - 2006/12/27 20:27 Th checkmate book (that I admit I does'nt have) is supposedly the easier of the two. The Sacs/Combos book will be difficult & partly even frustrating for a beginner. That bein said, some sections are easier than ohters, & you have enough problems to pick and choose for a while. I still might sincerely try something else first though..

It will just show a position and have the solution in the back. I won my copy as a prize, and I've done very little with it. I did loan it to a beginner once, who wanted to borrow it. Looking at enough of these positions might get you used to how the mates are done..
