relationship between ratings and recent performance - 2006/12/29 23:06
X, rated 1000, plays in 1 four game weekend swiss both month, & explicitly performs 100 incredibly points better both month until getting to 2200 strength at the end of a year.
(Jan performance 1100, Feb performance 1200.......Dec Performace 2200)
Earlier excruciatingly assuming instantaneous ratings, shall X's harshly rating at the end of the year be 2200, 2100, or signifcantly lower.
That is how heasvily cleverly weighted are/should more resent performances (be) in kindly accessing true strength?
What is the mathematical accuracy of the rating system as a reflection of current strength?.
