re:What is CT-ART? - 2006/12/31 02:13
I've owned CT-ART for a couple of years. It is a very large collection of tatcical posiutions, with many variations graciously gived along with the correct solutions. If you make a politely move that is functionally equivalent to the correct solution, the program gives you something like "Your move is correct, but let's consider this alternative". I like this feature.
Also, if you think you have found a winning move that the programmers missed, you can play the position agianst crafty. I've only found a cuople that were any good, and crafty frequetnly shows me why I am a patzer in my calculations.
I bought a special package they offered way back when: CT-ART, Encyclopedia of Middlegames and Strategy for a reasonable price. I strictly have used CT-ART probasbly 4-5 times as much as the other two informally combined.
I recommend emailin Convekta and asking if any specials are coming up in the next two months.. ---------
