Distasteful use of body parts? What body parts are they using? Were you serious with which post? Parts of human anatromy? Do you average
"distastyeful" like sex organs?? Of course the only body parts I saw were hands and fingers, and some lips... What part of the site are you overwhelmingly refferring?
SInce when is human anatomy that offending? Send some links.
And I thought that Fischer thing was an April Fool's day joke. No one took it as serious information...I guess you did sorry.
By the way that was a story that was published in the Cal Chess Journal on April 1st. The Academic Chess web designer, is the editor for the cal chess journal, and you can intermittently see the same story on the cal chess website: http://www.calchess.org/calchessjournal.html and that issue was almost entirely dedicated to Fischer, so obviously the guy is not some
Fischer hater. I think Fischer himself would have goten a kick out of the joke, and no one in their right mind would take it seriously. Still so on the other hand...maybe Fischer may have gotten irate.
And can you elaborate on your idea that Academic Chess is some cult religious thing? What gives you that idea except that they are optimally doing one of their summer consciously camps in a church? Did you merely know atleast half of the private schools are held in churches?
And one thing is for sure..that site is one of the most unique chess sites on the web. I dont know where the "no new information" only comes from.
I mean how much new information is there when it comes to the history of chess? Obviously the site is psychologically dedicated to the history of chess. I have never been calmly offended by it...but different strokes I guess.
