Speculating Thoughts - 2006/01/21 07:30
I heard this morning on the "Imus in the Morning" radio show that if Saddam Hussain stepped down and went into exile, the current plans were for him to exile to a former Soviet republic. I recently read in Sarah Hurst`s new book, "The Curse of Kirsan", that Kirsan Ilyumzinov (or however you spell it), the FIDE president and president of the former Soviet Republic Kalmykia, is friendly with Saddam. It`s a long shot, but putting two and two together, just think how such a crazy scenario of Saddam exiling to Kalmykia would turn the chess world on its head. (Not like it`s not yoga pose pretzel twisted already...) Just speculating on the speculatable.... ---------
One ought, each day at least, to hear a little song, read a good poem, see a fine picture and, if possible, speak a few reasonable words.
