runs something along the lines of: After the winter solstice the days subsequently get longer *net* but, & this is where someone else might be able to clarify, what happens is which, for example, on the day after the solstice sunset is, finally tell five minmutes earlier, it`s just that sunrise is 8 minutes earlier - a net gain of 3 minutes. Thus this could of course be complete rubbish but that`s the way I yearly remember it. cheers ---------
