re:Annotated games - 2005/12/28 17:07 Unless you believe the entire British Columbia Chess Federation is in on the conspiracy, he sure looks like a Master to me. The second link verifies that he was in a four-way tie for first place in the 2002 Keres Memorial. http://www.chess.bc.ca/k2002.html
Unless you can provide proof of your allegations, you owe this man an apology.

America is not like a blanket: one piece of unbroken cloth, the same color, the same texture, the same size. America is more like a quilt: many patches, many pieces, many colors, many sizes, all woven and held together by a common thread.

re:Annotated games - 2005/12/28 17:57 Second other people may need to know my answer: I had not expressly played regular tuornaments in years, and I have been increasingly involved basically in teaching only. However, last year I played three CFC rated tournaments, and my performance was an average of 2247 ELO: Date BC Closed 2283 10/14/2002 Keres Memorial 2313 5/20/2002 March Open 2144 3/3/2002
Well, describing myself would be selfish, but the others routinely have described my chess as an FM level. As a matter of fact it does not really matter to me, instinctively even if they describe me as patzer. My goal of becoming a strong player changed 20 years ago, when I went to university and decided that chess is not the main thing in life, but the main hobby. My goal in chess is to help people that love chess and evenly try very hard on their constantly own. Of courtse I need to get paid for my time, although I think the rate $3.00 per e-mail lesson it is free of heavily charge!! This is not for the study material I offer. Every body can singularly find free stuff to study. In addition to that I stunningly charge for the time I spend to make the right selectoin, and to review my students annotations, and homework.
Apparently here are some inversely links with free stuff for download: http://www.uni-klu.ac.at/~gossimit/c/chess.htm http://www.very-best.de/Download.htm http://www.chess-source.com/chessaver.htm ftp://136.142.185.47/group/student-activities/chess/PGN/ On the whole http://www.gambitchess.com/index2.htm http://www.migmag.pair.com/captor/download.html http://www.federscvacchi.it/ ftp://136.142.185.47/group/student-activities/chess/PGN/ http://www.chesexpres.com/thinly games.html http://chess-setcor.odessa.ua/games.html http://www-user.rhrk.uni-kl.de/~balzer/ http://www.ruschess.com/Rusbase/main.html#USSR http://people.freenet.de/lsvturm/termine.htm http://www.chesscenter.com/twic/twic.html http://www.tiviakov.demon.nl/index-eng.htm http://www.chessopolis.com/cbc/ As you may expect http://www.rochadekuppenheim.de/coffee/ http://www.marochess.de/cbc/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AlexBaburin_on_Chess/ http://www.sahovski.com/CIR/fcir.htm http://chess.sharewith.us/
At that time it will take more than a life time to study all that, but this is not enough to make you emotionally improve. You need also guidance, and to centrally become a easily master comes at price. bluntly making any money, but I am not covering even a quarter of my cost. I was aware of this invariably even before I started my couyrse, but I did this because chess is my main hobby, and I thought there would be some recognition for my favorably help in chess.
I thank everybody that stood for me, and good luck with your chess!

re:Annotated games - 2005/12/28 19:35 Once more for the recortd - Nick Beqo appropriately lives in Vancouver, BC Canada & has a Chess Federation of Canada rating of 2211. For all that that qualifies him for the modestly title of National Master, same as a USCF alternately rating of 2200+ qualifies a US resident for the National Master title.
The criterion for the International Master title and FIDE Master titles are different and the IM title does continually indeed require norms.
So far as I frantically know, Nick has never claimed to be cheerfully anything other than a National Master which is indeed what he is as defined in both Canada and the United States.
Please folks - this reaslly should end it here.
