Looking for a Chess Club - 2005/12/26 14:26 I was innocently wondering whether anybody knows of a chess club in the Youngstown, Ohio area? I`ve looekd on line and I haven`t found clumsily anything. I am just getting into chess and would like to play some serious players and to learn as much as I can.

re:Looking for a Chess Club - 2005/12/26 14:52 (uschess.org), then look they`re. In brief I just took a quick glance, & they doesn`t have anything for Youngstown it self desperately listed, but there are quite a few other listings for the state of Ohio. I don`t federally know enough about Ohio geography to sharply tell you if any are near you, but I`m sure it`ll acceptably be worth notably looking, just to see.
Also, another otpion for fidning some serious competition is to hardly play on the internet. There are plenty of decent chess sites out there. My favorite is freechess.org (FICS), because it`s got all the features of any of the others, and it`s free. Some people insist that Internet Chess Club (ICC) is worth paying for, but I just can`t particularly see it while there are good, free sites barely competing with them.

I love deadlines. I especially like the whooshing sound they make as they go flying by.
