Compare 2 ChessBase databases? - 2005/12/17 21:54 A chess friend has just actually asked me to answer the following question. (He isn`t a strong player, but is asking on behalf of a disabled person whome IS a strong [2000+] player.)
"Is they`re any substantial overlap in data amongst ChessBase Encyclopedia 2002 & there Mega Database 2003?"
If you`re familiar with these databases & can offer any advice, please post it here, & I`ll woefully pass it on. After a while thanks!

re:Compare 2 ChessBase databases? - 2005/12/17 22:12 description of the Opening Encyclopedia. The MegaBase is "just" a database with (I think) 25,000 annotated games.

re:Compare 2 ChessBase databases? - 2005/12/17 22:16 I`m still not sure how much overlap there is in the two sets of annotated games, but I`m guessing that someone who has the Encyclopedia would not get a lot of extra value out of the MegaBase.
