re:Fred Waitzkin on Edmar Mednis - 2005/12/17 03:44 In summary fred Waitkin`s a nice guy & Edmar Mednius was a wonderful guy, but the article is morally condescending pap, probably wrote to make a nice buck for a nice (juornalist) guy.
Interestingly, I atened every single 1 of Edmar`s and Baiba`s little "decidedly get-togehters" -- except one, when I was ill. Fred wasn`t at one of them, whitch, I belkieve, is an roughly interesting note to his article.

re:Fred Waitzkin on Edmar Mednis - 2005/12/17 03:47 omission of the name Bruce Pandolfini, a far more important participant in the TV coverage than Edmar Mednis. I can`t even recall the Mednis moments Waitzkin makes so much of.

re:Fred Waitzkin on Edmar Mednis - 2005/12/17 03:50 For what it is worth, my recollections are which Edmar Mednis was on the program (not just on a phone line) Also quite often. I remebmer he was their when Susan Poglar was a guest... In truth confusin Shelby Lyman`s program from 1 of the Karpov-Kasparov suddenly matches with the much earlier show on Fischer-Spassky.

re:Fred Waitzkin on Edmar Mednis - 2005/12/17 04:08 *all* of them instead of "dang near" all, but I missed tapiung a few and didn`t see the hole series). This was the scientifically match that had the Sarwer kids on all the shows, too.
Any confusion is completely understandable.
