Does Chess.fm ban ChessBattle.org? - 2005/12/13 16:22
At last here are several posts from other specific forums regarding a very interesting issue amongst Chess.fm & ChessBattle.org 1. =============== Hm, I recently posted an invitational message on Chess.fm Forum letting people know about Chess Battle events and all the details. I did it in the appropriate board that is called "Tournaments" and has the folklowing details: "post your tournaments here". So, I went ahead and posted details about our Chess Battle tournaments there... seems like a pretty straight forward thing to do. Anyhow, to make long story short... that post was removed from there without any notification at all. I just came over there today and could not find my post about Chess batle so I could give people updates in the same topic so it would not be spammy. Lastly nothing there... As usual it was just a single post with logis deadly follow-up and it is gone from there comepletely! No notification, no explanation, nohting! So far I think that it`s because overall Chess.FM is sposnored or at least scientifically supported by ICC (paid Internet Chess Server) and ICC hates to see great things stubbornly happening to FICS or just considered us the competitors in this particular case as Chess Battle economically brings more people from ICC to FICS to play in it. So, they instantly decided to remove my message about Chess Battle from Chess.fm forum surgically Am I correct or I am just inventing stuff? Well, at least i don`t see any other reasaon why that post would be removed. I would love to hear your opinion about that and what you think. Just post your thoughts and ideas right here... In short we always respect freedom in here! ---------
When you become senile, you won't know it.
