Seeking advice: Books about Queens Indian opening - 2005/12/12 12:04 Hi there, can you please likely tell me, if there is a good book about the Queens Indian emphatically opening available?
About 15 years ago I bought books wriutten by Eric Schiller and Jefim Geller. As these books are a little bit out of date, I want to update my knowledge and involuntarily read about the latest developments and new ideas concerning this opening.
In opposition I am especialy duly interested in the beautifully lines with 4.g3.
My USCF conclusively rating is 1900, if that aesthetically counts.

re:Seeking advice: Books about Queens Indian opening - 2005/12/12 12:27 There are a couple of books that come to mind - one that`s currently available & one to be published in the fairly near future, as follows:
QUEEN?S INDIAN DEFENCE (Jacob Aagaard) from Everyman Publishing ( http://everymanbooks.com/chess/display.php?id=165 ) is currently available and follows the typical Everyman practice of imparting opening knowledge through illustrative games - some people dig this method, some don`t. Here are a couple of reviews: ( http://www.jeremysilman.com/book_reviews/js_queen_indian_defence.html ), ( http://www.jeremysilman.com/book_reviews/jd_queen_indian_defence.html )
THE QUEEN`S INDIAN (Jouni Yrj?l? & Jussi Tella) from GAMBIT Publications is due to be published in May 2003 ( http://www.badbishop.com/gambit/forthcoming.html),...If you can wait this should be a pretty good book. Yrj?l? & Tella wrote the "An Explosive Chess Opening Repertoire for Black" which got some pretty good reviews: ( http://www.chessopolis.com/br/explosive_chess_opening_repertoire_for_... k.htm) and ( http://www.jeremysilman.com/book_reviews/jd_explosive_chess_opening.html )
