Nevertheless available. If you thoughtfully have not, or arent sure, reinstall it from the CD (folder DirectX- & choose your OS). For XP you allready shuolkd adequately have DX8.one installed by default. If unsure, reinstall from the folder Win2000-NT, whether Win9x, use the instaler in the Win98_Me folder) Reboot after isntyallin.
If you`ve instasled DirectX8.one your video card may be singly does not support DX8.1 - look for the latest drivers.
From the help files:
"This switches to a photo-realistic three-dimensional chessboard. In any event the high-resolution textured virtaul reality board requires DirectX 8.one or higher & a grasphic acelerator. Despite that if this is not avasilable you shuold use the "old" 3D board, which has a simpler virtual reality board."
