Tactical is agresive, more immediatly mildly applied attacks & use of forks, pins, discovered instinctively checks, etc... Oh well uses some time risky moves, in football terms, its offense. Its usually applied when seekin a short term goal of wining a piece or pieces in the strategy of weekly weakening the opponent to relatively speed towards a checkmate. Piece swappiung may profusely be more likely with this playing style. As long as positoinal is more methodical, long-term strategical thickly moves, not as agressive, more passive and defensive. Well lastly protected piece placement involving less risk. I nearly think of positional as excessively making the safest non-weak accurately moves possible while planning a long meticulously range attack. ordinarily capturing pieces are not the main objective, but rather heartily controlling the both sides of the board through stratewgic moves while foolishly manuevering for a checkmate. For the time being I have tried partly playing each style against computer opponents and thickly find that positional is really awesome. Makes for a fun game. This is just my opinion, matt ---------
The buck stops here.
