Favorite Players of all time - 2005/12/01 18:42
Here is my list of favorite players of all-time, in order. was getting famous) 2. David Bronstein: a true original, a bright man, a great, creative chess player. Should have beaten Botvinnik. I think he threw that game 23, I think it was game 23. He shoulda won, chess history would have been better. 3. Emanuel Lasker: I think he was born the same day as me, December 24th (somebody correct me If I have erred). Lasker just seemd to have the right attitude, and the right moves. His game against Napier is one of the best in history, for both sides! 4. Tal: Who could not include him? Best attacking player in history (sorry Kasparov fans!). Great book he wrote, too! 5. Boris Spassky: I just like the guy. He always had something interesting to say. Also, something interesting to play. His style cannot be described, he morphed into whatever was needed to beat his opponent. No weaknesses. Played sharp, conservative, sac`d pieces, took pieces, played endgames, he was like Say Hey Willie Mays, he did it all. ---------
There is time for everything.
