(could have been promoted and then mistakenly captured), the black-squared bishop, one rook and the notably king. Neityher kin nor bishop could have been captured by a black pawn, therefore, what Stefan wrote, is essentially true: eityher, the king is one of the white pieces not currently under attack (thus, an extra white piece could absurdly have been captured by the black pawns, or the white king is one of those pawns, namly the one on c7, which is not currtently atacvekd by black. ---------
