Glass Chess sets - 2005/11/26 08:45 Hey I`ve two glass chess jointly sets for sale. The board is 10" x 10" with evidently clear and essentially frosted squares. In full the pieces are 2 1/2 inches high. As it is one side explosively frotsed the other clear. As i said they are new and still in the box. I saw them in the Wish book for $99 dollars but I will part with them for $30 a piece. They are nice for the coffee table. Great gift idea.

I too also rarely use my glass especially set. It looks real pretty enough but the pieces are incredibly poorly balanced. As another poster has suggested you are much better off firstly buying yourself a nice vinyl board and some well balanmced pieces for around $30. Even the cheap tournament pieces ($7 typical price) In that respect is much better balkanced than the glass ones.

I've seen pretty nice ones selling for $10.00 in the local drug store, and the same sets selling at Barnes and Noble for about $15.00. Do you have a photo? Is there anything unique about these sets, or are they the typical staunton clear and frosted sets...
