It's true, I knew he would go for K-skalp but I was coward enough to bet on him (I bet on Grischuk which was far safer!) "stellar fashion" is highly exaggerated, just the psichology of the opening is remarkable! Kramnik played 4 patzer moves in a row (16-19) and if he stopped after 3 and sac the exchange there would be another story. After the 4th mistake by K, any master would have won with W. There are great players who have more admirers than followers (Morphy, Pilsburry, Tal, Spassky, Romanishin, Shirov, Topalov, Morozevich etc.) and the other way round (Steinitz, Botvinnik, Petrosian, Karpov, Kramnik, etc.) For learners who need idols, the midline is best: Lasker, Capa, Alekhine, Fischer, Kasparov, Anand
