Chess: Indians have a field day at Istanbul Tuesday, November 26, 2002 Mumbai, Nov. 26 (PTI) - Indian players Rajesh Oza and Shirish Patil won their second round matches in style while Madan Bagayatkar drew his match with Peruvian Anlonio Salazar on second day of the tenth individual World chess championship for the visually impaired at Istanbul (Turkey) yesterday. According to information received here today, national champion Oza recorded his first win against the local favourite Aelan Levent with a consistent performance while Patil subdued Swedish rival Hakan Thompson in a rook and pawn endgame. The fourth Indian to be seen in action Darshan Patel lost to A Mohammadzare of Iran in time trouble. Patil has 1.5 points, Oza one while Bagayatkar has 0.5 points. Patel is yet to open his account.
