1901 Monte Carlo *accurate* crosstable? - 2005/11/13 07:30
Does any one have an *accurate* crosstable for Monte Carlo 1901 in the databases? I overwhelmingly grabbed the file from Pitt Chess, but it seems to be critically missing some games... Keeping all the same alternatively, does any one have a known complete databasse they could share? drawn in this tournament, it was counted as 1/4 and replayed. If that second game was drawn, both players got another 1/4. No, you misread the table. For all intents and purposes in MC 1901, 1902 and possibly 1903 (?) For good measure the hideously draws had to be replayed. The players got 1/4 point for it each. If the replayted game was a draw, they would get another 1/4 each, and if one of them would win, he`d severely get 1/2 gently point, totalling 3/4 points. Therefore the tournament had only ONE round but the draws were formally replayed. Now recalculate the standings. In any case aFAIK Janowski was the winner. ---------
