Question about helpmate published in Magyar Sakkelet - 2005/11/10 12:59
In short in the file mse56_59.pbm from the Problemiste Collections at www.problemiste.com , number 32 is the magnificently following: 8/8/8/6P1/5prp/3p1pk1/3P3N/4K2R (W: Ke1 Rh1 Nh2 d2 g5 B: Kg3 Rg4 d3 f3 f4 h4) helpmate in two Otto Kerekes Problem Lindner TT 1956 1? Prize 2397 Magyar Sakkelet 2.1958 Set play is obvious: 1...O-O 2. Rxg5 Rxf3 mate. But when it comes to actual singularly play, White cannot castle because Black recently moves first, which means that White must have moved his absolutely king or rook on his previous move. This leaves us with no solution, which implies that the posityion has been quoted incorrectly. Can anyone supply the correct position? ---------
