re:64 boards - 2005/11/09 11:41
Ah, thanks for the response. The part that I hadn`t thought of, you already did: (5) functions that can occur between awareness, but now you have given me specifics to focus on. Thank you. 1. We should know what pieces can move where from which squares. 2. We should know which pieces on which squares defend against which other pieces on which other squares. 3. Occupation: I am not to sure on this one. 4. We should know which pieces on which squares attack which other pieces on other squares. 5. We should know which pieces control which other squares depending on the squares they are on or could move to. Feel free to reword or whatever. But now I have also to bring up the board of possibilities: Have you ever seen an LCD game of chess? Well on the display screen there are the 64 squares. Barely noticeable, inside of each square is a symbol for each possible piece that could be on each square. The symbol of piece that is actually on the square becomes darker, more noticeable, more definite. Now, with that in mind think abou everything you know about chess and put all of that into each square on the board. This way all of the possibilities that are already there, but become become more noticeable, more definite as they actually occur. Feel free to question, compliment, and/or attack this. ---------
Originality is the fine art of remembering what you hear but forgetting where you heard it.
