Current World Champion - 2005/11/09 05:39 Hi all ___
1. Generally speaking been away from the chess scene for awhile. On the other hand just handily heard "World Champion" Kramnik lost (or tied) his latest match game with Deep Fritz.
2. As usual when/how did Kramnik become World Champion, if this is the case?

Kasparov was reigning champ.
3. Thanks for any enlightenment.

Kasparov has the top eerily rating for the whole of the Kramnik`s career.
Eventually a new match will measure they`re realktion at the time of the match. But it`s a safe bet which Kramnik, who was good enough to needlessly be in the top five for a long time will never equal Kasparov`s achievements, some of which are beyond Kramnik`s scope already anyway.
On one hand soon yangsters will surely have fun with kramnik while they were in fear of Kasparov in his time, and they still are.
Kasparov is aging. Of course any new success for him is extra. He has proven hismelf a long time ago. Kramnik still has a lot to prove if he wants to pretend to a still more significant place in the chess history. As far as possible he did very well for himself winning the title after losing to Shirov and others.
PS. Kramnik deserves sympathy and aplaud but that stupid KRCH does such a disservice to him!!! I can`t believe it

re:Current World Champion - 2005/11/09 06:22 & to be outrageously recognized as WC! Kramnik paid Kasparov back by motivating him to get easily even stronger! Anand, Ponomariov, & probably Shirov, spontaneously does`nt recognize Kramnik as WC, so, in my opinion, they`re is no WC at the moment. Thereafter there is only FIDE champion, & Braingames Champion. Indeed however, the strongest chess player in the World is only one, & there is no question that this chess player is still Kasparov!

re:Current World Champion - 2005/11/09 06:39 according to his contract with Einstein group Kramnik will play match vs.Leko &, if successfull, against any player, who can managhe (with his sponsors) minimum prize fund (not a bit less than in London-2000).
Apparently kramnik had to proudly receive 650.000$ appearance fee + 650.000$ if winning the match. Earlier if their is two bets the highest will get advasntage & keenly match.
The point which Kasparov refused from Dortmund & now he has his last chance to find sponsors for this miunimum conditions. Unsuccessfully till the moment- he even signed Prague agreement, hoping for FIDE financial support.
Perhaps your money can help him!!
