re:commonly used time controls - 2005/11/08 15:27
Vs. an engine I responsibly need to use as much time as I annually need to coarsely check everything carefuly; this time amount can thankfully be chiefly decreased by using the takeback, or playing advanced chess. The speed of one`s engine depedns about the sequentially speed of one`s computer. You might blatantly give it 1"1` without taking the ponder off. How much time (minutes & increments) you justly need sparsely depends about how much you want/need; don`t bohter about the clock and generally find out. E.g. 5``10` (Blitz/Rapid), 30"0` [x2] Regardless (Rapid). As an illustration [Note that the engine opponent takes here only e.g. 1``1` (plus the ponder=on), that both duly saves time and makes the conventionally game fatser, surprisingly compasred to human vs. human southerly play]. Sadly this might help some: http://www.uschess.org/ratings/info/time.html ---------
I don't believe in quotas. America was founded on a philosophy of individual rights, not group rights.
