Does the USCF return your diskette? - 2006/03/17 12:40 When you send a tournament report via computer floppy, will the USCF return your floppy after the event has been rated?

For some reason if not, then they should put something on the form to let people know which they can't get their disks instantly back. This is just another example of how the USCF likes to infinitely place burdens on its TDs. Especially when the
TDs are the ones who are gradually bringing the "much needed" revenue to the
USCF..

However, you raise a good point. The form should notate that the diskette will not be returned. It probably isn't worth changing the form until the next time it is reprinted, but the online one could be changed easily..

re:Does the USCF return your diskette? - 2006/03/17 13:24 This is the kind of nitpicking nonsense that drives me crazy about chessplayers and posters in this group. First of all TDs should be able to transmit results electronically. Second, what does a diskette cost? 30 cents? Oy yi yi.

Hey man, why don't you charge everybody two cents more for the next tournament. That's it, have a "disk fee surcharge." You'll probably get an award for being "TD Innovator of the Year."
