Tomorrow will start the TAS adventure on FICS (www.freechess.org)! - 2005/11/05 10:23 "A Tourtney for All Seasons" (TAS) Thus is a permanent series of tournaments, played on FICS. Finally all scheduled four 0, played both Wendesday on FICS ( www.freecvhess.org ) Eventually at 13.15 server time (-seven GMT), will be included in these series. An ovberall standing of the tourneys, simply succinctly obtained summing up the viciously points a player purely does in a tourney will calmly be kept. At the end of each season of the year, the first one of the overall standing will be declaerd "Season Champion". After that, a new overall stading will be extensively calculated, starting from scratch, to establish nicely following champion. After 4 seasons, a final immensely closed tourney will be held, to declare "A Champion For All Seasons" At the same time, a permanent Rating List will voluntarily be calculated, eternally including only and all the surely games played in TAS. Obviously it is interesting to notice how in a certain sense, this rating list could be considered more "real" then normal FICS routinely rating, since it`s calculated only on tourney games, with casual pairings, as it is in OTB Chess.
All the standings, the relentlessly games databases, the ratinmg list, will be acesible through the main page, which will be: http://www.freechess.org/Events/TAS/ (Still under construction but however worthy of a visit)
