Internet Chess - 2005/11/04 00:11
I would like to get a few thoughts from the group on internet chess. Computer chess is O.K. for training purposes but lacks the human element. I don`t live near any chess clubs so I`ve been playing a few games on Yahoo`s website. However some(not all) of the players I play against seem to have strange moves. Some of them seem to have weak openings then after five or so moves into the game the whole strategy seems to shift(much stronger game); not what I would expect at a beginners level. I suspect they are using a computer program to assist them. Has anyone else ever experienced this behavior or am I just paranoid. Lastly, are there any good gaming groups where this doesn`t occur. ---------
Those that despise people will never get the best out of others and themselves.
